Artist statement:
I am so happy to finally have the opportunity to show some of my "heart" work as I have been so involved for so many years in making a living doing graphic and commercial work. The excitement of having met with other artists after being reclused for six years, is indescribable! I could feel the creative energy and realized it had been missing too long. In order to create I must be around creativity. Perhaps it should be a universal law!!

I have no idea where my inspiration comes from except to say that I attribute It to a Universal Creativity of a Higher Power that is so awesome and so vast I cannot fathom the expanse of It. It is part of me, who I am and defines my reason for being. I cannot escape it or dodge it ... inspiration is everywhere for me ... in the darkness, light and in between. I have found, though, in my quest to become an artist, that I always have been. My journey has taught me that no one can do my work but me ... and that is finally okay. Without perfection, justification, or explanation I have found my "hand". I no longer wish I could draw or paint like "so and so" I am painting and drawing what I see. How liberating is that!!!
