Artist's Statement
"After over 50 years of looking at the 'real' world, I find that I'm much more interested in the worlds we can't see. Microscopic forms of life and the universe they inhabit are much more interesting for me these days. The design and forms in that world feel perfect. It's an environment that exists to provide a form for whatever function is needed ...elegant simplicity. I also enjoy exploring the hidden universe within my mind. Using surrealist automatist techniques and improvisational techniques, I can sometimes unlock the doors to that inner universe.

Without trying to analyze things too much, it also has to be fun - plain and simple. If it's not fun, if it doesn't somehow feel 'right', feel 'natural' - why put any energy into it at all?"
