Gallery One Ellleven captures the spirit, complexity and nature of women during the March 2009 event "Tribal Woman." The compilation aims to honor the virtue, strength, power, sensuality and sacrifice of all women in every part of the world. Dedicated to all that women believe, love, desire and hope for. Three female artists have worked for nearly a year to see this show come to fruition. From humble beginnings, hard work and tireless volunteer hours, Gallery One Ellleven is an artist run, not for profit art gallery. It is the atmosphere of the gallery that has helped to foster the growth of it's members and proven a powerful force to push all of its members back into the studio creating and working.

"Tribal Woman" is scheduled to open March 7th at 6 PM and the show will continue through the month of March. There are many events planned for March while the display continues. Cleco has generously agreed to change street lights on the night of the event so that the streets in Historic Downtown Leesville are bathed in pink light. The Vernon Parish Tourism Commission has also been very generous in support of the artists vision. Guests will be treated to a variety of decadent chocolate and wine thanks to numerous gallery patrons.
